The Australian Institute of Architects’ annual National Architecture Conference is heading north - with Brisbane set to host the event for the first time in May 2012.
The conference attracts more than 1,000 attendees from Australia and abroad, and plays host to international speakers including the world’s leading architects and Pritzker Prize winners, landscape architects, thinkers, philosophers, architectural critics and authors.
In addition to speakers, there will be sunrise tours for serious cyclists and self-guided walking, ferry and city-cycle tours for the more sedate. Parallel events, exhibitions and displays associated with the conference will be offered to members. There will be events organised for students and young architects, by SONA and EMAGN members, including bar tours, and photo competitions.
